  • Is the doctor responsible for the diagnosis accessible online?
Currently, our platform does not offer direct online access to doctors.
  • How should I proceed if the doctor requests a follow-up appointment?
If the doctor requests a follow-up appointment, you should submit a new case with a newly taken photo. You must include a note indicating that the photo is being submitted as a follow-up.
  • Is it possible for me to upload my past diagnoses?
We do not support the upload of previous diagnoses at this time.
  • What kind of documents do I need to redeem my prescription?
You will need the personal document (national ID card, European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) or passport) that was used when you registered to the AIP Clinic system.
  • How do doctors make the diagnosis?
Our diagnostic process relies on an artificial intelligence-powered, automated medical decision support system. Once a case is uploaded, this system provides the diagnosing specialist with choices to either confirm or modify the diagnosis. It's important to note that every consultation is reviewed and validated by a doctor. Upon assessment by the diagnosing doctor, they will provide recommendations for a suitable treatment plan.
  • What measures are in place to safeguard my personal and health data to prevent unauthorized access?
Ensuring the protection of your personal and health data is our top priority. We have taken extensive measures to comply with GDPR and other relevant regulations, demonstrating our commitment to preserving your privacy and data security. For more information, please refer to our privacy policy section at https://www.aip.ai/privacy/en.
  • What are the technical requirements for the pictures and how can I upload them?
You can use any device that is capable to capture a clear, high-quality digital image. Please note that you may upload only one image per case. Our supported formats are .jpg and .png. After completing the registration and log-in process, you will be able to access an in detail system usage guide by visiting the "User Guide" section of the website.
  • For which medical conditions can I seek consultation from a doctor?
You can consult a doctor for any skin condition. Our system is designed to detect nearly 700 different types of skin conditions.
  • Can I get an examination for my child? What should I do if I want my children to be diagnosed?
If you wish to diagnose your children, you will need to create a new registration profile with a different email account. You should provide your children's personal data in the new profile. During the registration process, you will have to confirm that you are the parent.
  • Is it possible for me to use a prescription I receive from AIP Clinic anywhere in the EU?
Yes, according to Directive 2012/52/EU, EU member states should make efforts to ensure that prescriptions issued in one member state are recognized in another member state. AIP Clinic provides prescriptions to adhere to these specific conditions; however, we are unable to guarantee that the prescription is available in all Member States, and we cannot guarantee that all pharmacies will provide all prescribed medicine for our patients. Please note that some medicines may not be authorized for sale or may not be available in another country, even within the EU.
  • What should I do if the doctor suggests visiting a clinic?
In that case you may need additional medical attention. We suggest consulting with your local dermatologist.
  • Is there a restriction on the number of images I can upload?
You may upload one photo of a symptom or problematic case. If necessary, the doctor may request an additional photo to be uploaded for further examination of your case.
  • Where can I access the service and how can I use the system?
You can access our service at https://app.aipclinic.com/sign-up/international. Once you have registered and logged in, you will find a step-by-step guide on how to use the system in the Instructions menu.
  • Are there any additional steps or actions I should be aware of or need to take?
Based on the doctor's diagnosis, you may need to use non-prescription medicine, require prescription medication (with the prescription accessible digitally and obtainable at a pharmacy), or undergo a personal consultation at a local specialist clinic. Please note that you will need the same document (national ID card, EHIC or passport) that was used when registering to the AIP Clinic system in order to redeem your prescription.
  • Are licensed medical professionals responsible for making the diagnoses?
Our diagnostic team comprises renowned dermatologists, including specialists from Semmelweis University's Department of Dermatology, Venereology, and Dermatooncology. Semmelweis University is not only Hungary's oldest dermatology department but is also the largest provider of healthcare services in the country.
  • Who will have access to the photos I upload?
Only the diagnosing doctors have access to the cases.
  • Does my skin color influence the medical process or the detection of medical conditions?
Our system recognizes all skin tones, and it does not impact the detection of the issue or the medical process.
  • Is it possible to consult with a doctor for multiple skin problems simultaneously?
Yes, you can request diagnoses for multiple skin problems, but each case must be recorded separately. For each case, you can upload one photo of a symptom or problem, and you will be charged for each submitted case individually.
  • Will I receive the results immediately upon uploading? What is the timeframe for obtaining a diagnosis?
The delivery time for your result depends on factors such as the number of doctors on duty, the volume of cases submitted, and the package you have chosen.
